For most people, any mention of Cali conjures up images of bright LA streets, vapid celebrity and of course, a blinding amount of sunshine. For us, though, we’ll forever associate the sunshine state with the iconic cannabis strains that have emerged from it. And while there are plenty of classics to choose from, Holy Roller, which child of two cali strains herself, is an exciting addition into an already heaving stable. Offering a light, fizzy, kush-scented lime taste profile to go along with a worthwhile high and a solid growing time, this union between Big Sur Holy Weed and Do’Si’Dos is a fantastic one. Worth checking out if you’re in the market for a seriously smelly sativa that also does a fuck ton more besides.

Tasty Trees

The latest in a long line of successful crosses with Face Off OG, Archive’s decision to splice that iconic strain with a Lemon Tree has proved to be absolutely genius. The latter strain brings, as you’d expect, a marvellously citrus punk to the proceedings, while the former adds a pungent gassiness to the party which in turn compliments the notes of lemon. Such a rich terpene profile doesn’t come at the expense of anything else, happily – a fast growing time of 8-9 weeks ensures a speedy legal grow for cultivators of all experience levels, and the high, which is long-lasting, intense, and motivating, would make any amount of time seem worth it. A wonderful regular option that we just can’t get enough of right now.

Sour Face

Sour Face by Archive Seed Bank: the latest entry in the saga entitled ‘Archive Do Not Fuck Around’. Its decent flowering time is complemented by a wonderfully alluring all-round package, which all begins with those vaunted genetics. Combining Sour Diesel and Face Off OG, Archive have managed to find a way to pinpoint and utilise the best characteristics from both. Expect a fantastically stinky plant with a knockout high, and a terpene profile connoisseurs will salivate over. That’s not to mention the considerable amount of resin extraction that can be found within this strain; there’s quite a lot to fall in love with here, as you can probably tell.
