In terms of stature she is usually a relatively larger plant, with many strong branches and large continuous blooms. Due to her strong genes, she is easy to cultivate, she grows fast and always provides a high yield. Normally with 11L pots you will get a plant of 80-100cm (~3ft) after a month of veg pre-growth from cannabis seed, depending on the growing conditions and equipment used. Some phenotypes will need a week longer in bloom in less-than-optimal conditions. This also applies to outdoor cultivation. That is why we only recommend this strain for cultivation in warmer and drier, preferably Mediterranean-style, climates. Places where the sun shines a lot, and the temperature is higher.

Because of her strong, stiff branches this strain can do well in a natural grow, but because of her relatively strong stretch period during flowering she is also well suited for a SCROG grow. Fimming and topping can be used as growing techniques if you do not want the plant to grow too tall.

The yield of Candy Bubatz XL
If you grow this feminised photoperiod strain indoors under good quality LED lights, you can expect weed of the highest quality. When grown well, you can expect about 500 to 650 grams/m² (16+oz per square yard). The plants grow with remarkable strength and are very productive.

Especially when it comes to resin production! Buds are completely covered with a thick layer of beautiful crystals and trichomes with large heads. In general, this strain has an average flowering time of about 9 weeks.

Outdoors, she normally needs 1 to (max) 2 weeks longer to fully ripen and she is usually a fantastic yielder. Especially in a dry, sunny climate! She can reach a maximum height of 3-4m (10-13ft) during an outdoor grow. Large outdoor harvests of half a kilo to a kilo (17-34oz) of dry cannabis buds are therefore certainly possible. We challenge all growers to achieve a harvest of 1 kilo from 1 plant!

Expert advice:
Candy Bubatz XL is a great feminised seed variety to grow. She is easy, strong, fast growing and produces large, full blooms with an exceptional resin frosting and an intensely sweet terpene profile. She thrives in a wide range of grow conditions and is therefore perfect for the novice grower.

Due to her hybrid genes (close to a 50/50 hybrid, so about 50% Indica genes and 50% sativa) she is very vigorous and produces strong branching. To make the most of this, we recommend growing her indoors in a SCROG and making sure that all the buds receive the same amount of light.

This can ensure extremely high yields where you can probably achieve more than 700+g per m2! Topping and fimming are also two growing techniques that we recommend allowing her grow more in width and to limit the vertical growth somewhat. Especially when grown without additional growing techniques, this ultimately ensures higher yields.

For the tastiest result, it is best to grow this strain on fully organic or even vegan food. ‘No-till farming’ is also a good method to achieve a fantastic result with minimal disturbance via the natural symbiosis between the soil and the plant.

Do you prefer to grow her outside? Then make sure you have an overhead cover (e.g. tarpaulin) if required during the cannabis flowering phase and preferably a place with good ventilation and lots of sun. This reduces the chance of bud rot and mould – this strain does not like wet and cold conditions.
