We’re big fans of Paradise Seeds; a recent blog post of ours can probably attest to that. Iterating on decades of experienced that originated in Amsterdam, the folks at Paradise Seeds constantly strive to hit a high level of quality, while challenging themselves to create new, exciting strains to sate the masses. In fact, they’ve done just that with their latest batch of releases, and that’s why we’re gathered here today. Tangerine Sorbet, Apricot Candy & Chocolate Wafflez are the latest additions to the site, and each one is superb. So superb, in fact, that they deserve their very own breakdowns, which you’ll find below.

Chocolate Wafflez

Chocolate Wafflez, like its namesake, has a metric fuckton of things going for it. Its sativa / indica hybrid genetics offer a masterclass in how to effectively meld the two; it’s been described as a ‘head rocket’, one that stimulates, invigorates, and calms in equal measure. There aren’t many strains we’d recommend for periods of intense concentration and chill sessions, but this is one of them. Anyone worried that it all sounds a little lightweight needn’t be: Choc Wafflez packs a meaty THC content of 21%. There’s more – the yield is frankly *french kiss*, and in tandem with that is a speedy flowering time, which is always a desirable mix.

Borne from a desire to iterate on Wappa, one of their most successful and iconic strains, they ‘realigned its skunky heritage’ with considerable aplomb. The result is a hit and a worthy successor to the Wappa throne. Considering the famed all-round hybrid status of its forbear, its no surprise Tangerine Sorbet is a subtle blend of different characteristics and idiosyncrasies. Let’s start with the flavour, a complex and rewarding one – especially those that salivate over anything Skunk. Expect to be hit by overpowering notes of spice and petrolly, perfumey aromas, to be followed up by sweet hints of tangerine. There’s also a surprisingly spicy undercurrent that manages to cap it all off. Even just in terms of taste, it’s worth trying out.

But there’s more! If the tagline ‘Wappa on steroids!’ isn’t enough to get you pumped, perhaps the THC content of up to 24% will do. Paradise Seeds are leaning hard on the euphoric effects of this plant, promising an instantaneous surge of energy and contentedness. Cerebral in nature, it’s one that creeps, offering up surprises along the way. Those with experience with hard-hitting highs could also find it helps stimulate appetite.
